Commemorative coins were issued in Britain in honor of the 150th anniversary of the book “Alice Through the Looking Glass” In 1871, the book Through the Looking-Glass was published, a sequel to Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. To commemorate 150 years since publication, the Royal Mint has decided to issue two collectible £ 5 coins. Posted on August 18, 2021 by John Swardson
London airports have been awarded on 2021 World Airport Awards The 2021 World Airport Awards have named the best airports that have made every effort to adapt and address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. And the first place in this list is occupied by the Hamad international air harbor in Qatar. 5 Outstanding Restaurants for Ice Cream in Central London

Posted on August 13, 2021 by John Swardson
Selection of five in our opinion interesting Restaurants for Ice Cream in Central London. Quo Vadis in Soho Ice cream at Quo Vadis is a symbol of pudding’s necessarily excessive nature. Never served alone, it is part of a joyous piling up of textures and temperatures, whether cutting through a meringue with the bitterness of campari in a sorbet, stacking on top of cream and custard in harmony with a fruited frangipane tart, or sandwiching between profiteroles. The closest thing to ‘just ice cream’ might be praline and brown bread, but it’s still a hulking, unapologetic thing. Quo Vadis Address: 26-29 Dean St, London W1D 3LL, United Kingdom Morito in Clerkenwell This

It has timed the release to coincide with what it calls building momentum at the airport at the start of the summer holiday season, with more international flights and destinations on offer from LCY now than for quite some time. The new video also comes on the back of the airport’s busiest week of the year, with over 15,000 passengers travelling through London City, a 35% increase on the previous week. LCY’s chief executive, Robert Sinclair, enthused: “After the year we’ve all had, passengers are
