Last year was the first time the London Marathon was held in October, rather than in the spring, as is customary. The marathon will take place on October 2nd. Records: The men’s fastest time is 2hrs 1min 09secs, set in Berlin in 2022 by Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge. Male runners finish in about 3 hours and 48 minutes on average. Brigid Kosgei set the women’s world record at the 2019 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:14:04. Female finishers average 4 hours and 23 minutes. The Dorchester will undergo its most extensive renovation since 1989 The Dorchester will begin a comprehensive renovation as part of an ongoing investment program. According to the London hotel, the renovation will be the largest since 1989 and will begin with the entrance to the hotel, The Promenade and The Bar at The Dorchester, as well as two guest floors, with work expected to be completed by September 2022. The architects and designer on the project to remodel The Dorchester are ReardonSmith Architects. The hotel entrance, The Promenade, and the new guestrooms and suites have been tastefully updated by Pierre-Yves Rochon, while the bar has been re-created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.

From August 25 to September 15, Banksy’s work is on display at the new Red Eight Gallery at the Royal Exchange, writes City A.M. The total cost of the exhibits is estimated at 5 million pounds.
