Records: The men’s fastest time is 2hrs 1min 09secs, set in Berlin in 2022 by Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge. Male runners finish in about 3 hours and 48 minutes on average. Brigid Kosgei set the women’s world record at the 2019 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:14:04. Female finishers average 4 hours and 23 minutes. The architects and designer on the project to remodel The Dorchester are ReardonSmith Architects. The hotel entrance, The Promenade, and the new guestrooms and suites have been tastefully updated by Pierre-Yves Rochon, while the bar has been re-created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
